What can I do?

  • My art centers around fantasy landscapes and individuals primarily in oil paints, though I am not opposed to non-fantasy works.

  • Looking at my gallery you'll get an idea of my style, so you can see what I can and cannot do.

  • I can do fanart if you give me enough references/background information.

  • I can change a piece of artwork. Minor details such as wrong eye colour, adding a background, etc. I do only work in oils, but I have done mixed media items such as a pastel piece where I worked with a very thinned down pigment.

Request Procedure

STEP 1 Send  me a note with the basic idea of what you want, and references if you have them, details, colors, etc. The more detailed description the better. You can also send an email to bibliophilequen@gmail.com (NOTE: I reserve the right to decline a request if I consider it at this point)

STEP 2 We discuss the price.

STEP 3 Once the price is settled, in the meantime I request that I have 30% of the payment by the time I do the initial sketch and show it to you. This way you can ask for changes to it if you want.

STEP 4 Once I receive the payment, I'll finish the piece. Meantime I will send several update photos.

STEP 5 Once finished, I will send a photo to you. If unsatisfactory I will allow one touch up session. This cannot be major (ie, pose change, new character introduction).

STEP 6 I will ask for payment, and then send it to you. (I'll only send the work until I receive the complete payment)

What you can and cannot do with your commission

  • The finished piece can be submited to your own gallery, but credit must be given.

  •  You can modify the piece and use it for personal purposes, as in banners for websites/blogs, journal CSS's, etc.

  •  If you are gonna use it for commercial purposes you must tell me at the beginning, as it will imply additional cost to the base price.

  •  I usually submit the finished pieces to my gallery, but you can request me to abstain of doing so in advance.

  • If you have any other doubts, you can send me a note or comment.

Note, a painting is going to have imperfections, little details that are off. This is the nature of a painting, and the hidden beauty of it. This being said, a portrait is going to not be an exact copy.  Life is beautiful because of the flaws, not in spite of them.
